Organisation: Locality
Location: The role will be home based within the North or Central region, of England. You will be required to regularly travel within the region and nationally.
Salary: Band 6 – starting from £55,191 with incremental increases to £59,390.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape our work. You will inspire and motivate a team to deliver high-quality support and business advice to community organisations, Local Authorities, and other organisations.
The main purpose of this role is to strengthen and deliver Locality’s services, in particular by:
* Identifying and building income-generating business streams.
* Managing a service delivery/consultancy team.
* Achieving core income targets.
* Influencing and shaping the operating environment.
* Engaging with members across the region and developing relevant services.
* Contributing to Locality’s strategic goals - particularly supporting community organisations to be stronger and more successful.
You will have experience of designing and delivering consultancy services and a track record of successful business development, innovation, management, and delivery, as well as experience of winning contracts and funding bids.
In-depth knowledge of some of the following areas will be required: organisational business support, strategic business planning, business continuity; charity incorporation, governance and finances; community assets, localism, community voice, engagement or development; community enterprise, trading models, community shares; commissioning and procurement; grant management; research and evaluation; housing, regeneration, community-led housing.
You will need good team development skills with the ability to deploy staffing resources effectively and profitably, with excellent budgetary and finance and communication skills.
You will be able to model our values – to be ambitious, respectful, and fearless in how we work; and to model our principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion in everything we do.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-changing environment, to be flexible; able to adapt and respond to change in a positive way and learn ‘on the job’, and committed to ongoing professional development.
