OPERATIONS SITE SUPERVISOR at SOUTHAMPTON DOCKS

Full-time and permanent opening for a hands-on Site Supervisor to work alongside our site Manager.
The role is a supporting position to help oversee the running of our terminal at Southampton Docks.
This will be a busy role which will require you to work as part of the team and be able to turn your hand to all operations and to ensure our facility is running as efficiently as possible so that we are able to deliver quality nutrient blends to our customers farms located across the southern counties.
Day to day duties will include:
Working with the team to learn all tasks to be able to lead from the front.
Oversee the blending and bagging process from start to finish.
Overseeing operations from the control room to run all plant throughput when required.
Loading finished product by fork-lift onto our own Churchill Freight Services Ltd lorries.
Helping to supervise, organise, support, and motivate the team.
Coordinating ships arrivals and departures.

About You:
Ideally you will have led a small team in an operations role before, or you will be looking for your next step into a supervisory role.
Fork-Lift Truck operation, with a minimum of 1 years experience and confident with a counterbalance,
Experience of driving a Volvo shovel would be advantageous.
There will be some manual handling as part of the role, demanding a reasonable level of fitness.
Previous similar work experience gained within warehousing, logistics or dock side environment in a supervisory position.
Knowledge of MS office, Excel or equivalent Operations System and confident with working with a control panel.
You will need to be organised, able to run systems and process with attention to detail to ensure processes are maintained.
Good communicator with the ability to lead from the front.
Knowledge of safe systems and work gained from within a similar supervisory role would be advantageous.
