Home to a wide range of original, diverse, well-loved and highly acclaimed TV productions such as Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow and Gardeners’ World, BBC Studios Factual Entertainment Unit in Bristol is looking to expand our Production Management Talent Pool and are looking for experienced Production Coordinators who are becoming available from January to March in the new year to work on our productions. We’re keen to hear from those who have at least one year's experience in a Production Coordinator role and candidates who are passionate working at BBC Studios on our Factual Entertainment content. Appointment to the pool does not guarantee work but allows you to be considered for opportunities as and when they arise. Responsibilities As the day-to-day focal point for the production team, you will report to the Line Producer or Production Manager and work closely with the Junior Production Manager to provide logistical and financial support to the production team. In this role, you may: Contribute to the scheduling and budgeting of the production content Be responsible for the forecasting and monitoring of filming budgets, overseeing the cost trackers for the Production Management Assistants Be responsible for setting up shoots, booking resources, retrieving quotes from suppliers and negotiating deals Oversee post-production and delivery, acting as the main point of contact for post-production queries Ensure compliance with BBC policies, guidelines, legislative and regulatory requirements, in order to minimise the BBC’s exposure to risk Be responsible for ensuring all necessary rights are acquired and recorded for the complete delivery of the production, escalating any issues at the earliest stage Ensure the production delivers demonstrable value for money through effective and efficient management of people and resources Maintain a safe and healthy working environment at all times, escalating any issues or areas of concern Knowledge, skills and experience Demonstrable experience in a Production Co-ordinator role on a broad slate of productions, with a track record of delivering them on time and on budget Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of end-to-end production process with a level of technical understanding to enable the most efficient production of content A proven track record of being responsive in fast-paced environments You will show initiative and problem-solving ability in your work and have a can-do attitude Have demonstrable knowledge of the post-production process Experience managing a post-production schedule is desirable Experience using Silvermouse systems is desirable You’ll be able to manage relationships effectively while working collaboratively within a diverse team Demonstrable experience in the implementation of sustainability initiatives on productions and experience in accurate data capture for Albert Certification Have experience of monitoring and managing Health & Safety on a production We are really proud to share that we are a Level 2 Disability Confident Employer and so if you require any reasonable adjustments in order to apply please do contact us on reasonable.adjustmentsbbc.co.uk with ref:19301 in the subject.
