Job Title: Release Manager SC Cleared Location: Corsham 2 days per week or as the project is needed Duration: Until 31st March with likely extension (possibly 12 months) Rate: Up to £750 per day via an approved umbrella company Overview The Project Release Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases across the Projects platforms. The holder will ensure that new software products and some infra products are clearly scoped, communicated and are delivered, on time: Key Responsibilities Release Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed release plans and schedules in coordination with development and operations teams. Manage release calendars and ensure alignment with project timelines. Coordination and Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all release-related activities. Communicate release progress, issues, and risks to CPT programme manager Coordinate release content and effort based on incidents, defect backlogs, and project Process Management: Identify and implement and release processes Ensure compliance with established processes and policies Quality Assurance: Work closely with Test and SvcOps teams to ensure release acceptance criteria are met Facilitate post-release reviews and document lessons learned Risk Management: Identify potential release-related risks and develop mitigation strategies. Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve release processes to enhance efficiency and quality. Stay updated with industry best practices and tools in release management. Experience In order to deliver this service, it is essential that individuals have: Minimum of 2 years of experience in release management, software development, or related roles. Proven experience managing complex software releases in an Agile/Scrum environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Hold a valid Security Clearance (SC) Competency in MS Office Suite. Skills In order to deliver this service, it is desirable that individuals have: Mandatory - Proficiency with release management tools (Jenkins, Jira).
