We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Operations Manager (SCOM) to oversee our fast-paced food manufacturing sites in Leeds and Manchester. This regional role is about making a significant contribution to the development and successful delivery of the manufacturing operations strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, the SCOM will assume full accountability for all manufacturing operations across both sites, overseeing the delivery and improvement of site activities in line with overall business objectives.
The SCOM is a crucial member of the national manufacturing team, with a mission to lead their sites towards operational excellence. The SCOM will be key to driving regional manufacturing excellence, as well as actively engaging with other regional and central functions to ensure the most effective and efficient delivery of improving customer experience across the medium to long term. The SCOM will also play a key role in shaping the supply chain\'s future direction and culture.
* 25 days (5 weeks) annual leave, pro-rated, increasing with service (in addition to bank holidays), plus 1 additional floating day

About the role
* This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
* We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
* The role is predominantly site based, across our Manchester and Leeds manufacturing operations, with national travel required intermittently, subject to need
What you’ll do
* Lead, coach, and develop a highly motivated team regional team, supported by excellent employee engagement and ensuring the effective utilisation of resources.
* Development and deployment of the manufacturing strategy, ensuring alignment and ownership across the operations team, meet key performance indicators in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people engagement.
* Seek opportunities to improve delivery to our customer across all relevant metrics
* Agree and manage operational budgets and capital expenditure with a keen focus on optimising resources and enhancing financial performance.
* Uphold and exceed standards in Quality, Food Safety, Hygiene, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
* Act as a role model for a positive culture that encourages innovation, continuous improvement and open communication at all levels.
* Ensure adherence to all compliance standards related to Food Safety and Health & Safety, aligning with company policies and external certifications
* Drive initiatives supporting the Greggs Pledge primarily diversity and inclusion, food redistribution, and community engagement.
* Proactively engage other regional and national functions to ensure efficient progression of all national requirements

Qualifications and Experience
* Leadership experience within an FMCG food manufacturing environment
* Change management experience
* A knowledge of SAP preferable, and strong computer skills.
