About the Role
This is a permanent post; however, both full-time and part-time applications are welcomed. You will be travelling across a wide geographical area, covering the whole of North Devon, with your base site located in Barnstaple.
It is essential that you have a kind and caring nature, are patient, and able to offer a friendly smile. You must feel comfortable working on your own supported by a team of professional colleagues.
Duties will include:
1. Provision of personal care
2. Clinical duties where delegated
3. Monitoring the patient's condition
4. Working with health and social care professionals to ensure that patients are safe and well at home
You will need great interpersonal and communication skills and be able to connect with individuals with varying levels of understanding. Ideally, candidates will have experience of working with frailty patients in the community setting, but this is not essential. You will also need to be competent with IT as electronic recording is an essential part of the role. You will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme including support to complete the National Care Certificate.
Please note, we are willing to take candidates on as a Band 2 developmental opportunity where the successful candidate would progress to Band 3 upon successful completion of required competencies.
You must have a full UK driver's licence with access to your own vehicle (with appropriate business insurance) as you will be travelling to patients' homes to care for them.
Working Pattern: The service operates on a 7-day rota system between 07:30 - 22:00, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays. Depending on your shift pattern and working hours, you may also receive additional enhancements to your pay. Please Note, there are full and part-time positions available.
