A growing menswear brand based in Manchester city centre require a Garment Technologist to join their creative team to support the garment tech process. You will work closely with the design and marketing teams and communicate with overseas factories ensuring all work is approved and production runs efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Previous experience in outerwear and denim preferred
2. Review of proto/design samples to ensure that they conform to size and design specifications.
3. Develop fits and blocks for new ranges.
4. Organise and attend all fit meetings, measuring and preparing samples beforehand.
5. Prepare workbooks and other comments and ensure that all information is effectively communicated to offshore production teams within agreed critical path timescales.
6. Manage all aspects of the sealing process critical path.
7. Work closely with offshore production teams and factories to ensure they understand and achieve the technical standards required.
8. Prepare testing requirements schedules and manage testing report critical path.
9. Manage test reports, quality checks, care labels and supplier manuals.
10. Request AQL reports from your suppliers and manage the production seal process.
11. Resolve quality assurance issues through effective communication with customers and offshore Production teams.
12. Logging received parcels from overseas factories and organising any parcels to be sent out.
The role is based in head office in Manchester City Centre
