Job Title: Electronic Tester Location: St. Neots Salary : £13 p/h (Temp to Perm) Hours: 7:30am - 4pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7:30am - 1pm (Friday) JOB PURPOSE Performs the set-up, calibration and test of; components, assembled printed circuit boards and electro-mech assemblies. Using a variety of standard test equipment and customer provided inline testing solutions. Initially required for volume testing of manufactured items and highlighting failed assemblies that require debug via technician. Completing test reports and processing wip through manufacturing systems. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Set up test equipment and test jigs both for in-circuit and full functional testing of PCBAs and complete products. Test PCBAs and complete electronic products following test procedures recording test results as directed. Only pass assemblies that meet the test specification with all readings falling within test limits. Ensure test work is carried out to the production schedule, in order that production deadlines are met. To inform the Production management team if there are problems that may cause delay. Keep management informed of any significant problems with products under test To investigate and assist with fault finding faulty electronic printed circuit assemblies or complete electronic based with debug technician. To keep records as required of test times and record fault data in a database. Suggest improvements in the testing of items to speed up the test process and achieve production test times To seek assistance, as required to help solve test related problems. To use commercial awareness in relation to the products being tested and repaired, balancing the value of the item against the time required to repair or test it. To follow the working procedures defined in use within the test department. Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proven experience with working within a target driven manufacturing environment is desirable. Proven experience of testing manufactured items is desirable. Experience of IPC-610 and IPC 7711/21 certification is desirable. Highly attentive and a self-motivated problem solver Strong MS Office skills and PC literate.
