Role Overview:
The Key Account Manager will be the main point of contact for the company's German-speaking clients, playing a critical role in managing and developing relationships with B2B retail partners in Germany. This is a desk-based role that focuses on both sales and customer relationship management. The position is varied, involving tasks such as order processing, client communication, and occasional translation work. While it's not a typical sales-on-the-road position, the role requires some international travel, with a 10-day trip to Germany planned for February each year.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisation skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, growing department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with German B2B retail clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and customer retention.
* Order Processing: Handle the end-to-end order process, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
* Customer Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for inquiries, issues, and requests, providing excellent service to all German-speaking clients.
* Sales Support: Work with the sales team to translate promotional material and marketing communications into German, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
* Travel: Be prepared to travel to Germany for a 10-day business trip in February each year to meet clients and strengthen relationships.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Language Skills: C1 or native-level German (essential), with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Sales or Account Management Experience: Previous experience in a sales, key account, or client relationship management role. This can come from any industry, as long as there is a clear focus on building and maintaining customer relationships.
* Attention to Detail: High level of organisation and accuracy, particularly in handling orders and managing customer details.
* Organisational Skills: Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work under pressure.
* Customer-Focused: A proactive attitude towards solving client issues and delivering an exceptional service.
* Adaptability: Able to handle a variety of tasks, from sales support to order processing, with enthusiasm and efficiency.
* Team-Oriented: Willingness to support and collaborate with other departments as needed, including covering for colleagues during periods of leave.
