Job Overview
ESM is looking to strengthen our Major Projects team by appointing a Managing P6 Programmer (Schedules). The role will be based at our Scunthorpe office and will be responsible for managing schedules for activities within the major projects team.
Main Duties
1. Work closely with Project Managers & QS to produce and maintain schedules weekly.
2. Add new projects with milestones for key steps.
3. Update project statuses and track completion of key steps.
4. Collaborate with production schedulers to meet critical milestones in a fast-paced environment.
5. Maintain accurate records of production work and results.
6. Deliver high-quality programs within deadlines.
7. Compile reports on project schedules to aid decision-making.
8. Plan and program works during design and construction phases using Microsoft Project & Primavera.
9. Draft programs for tender submissions.
10. Monitor progress during construction and coordinate updates with Project Managers and clients.
11. Prepare construction programs from design information and produce monthly reports for management and clients.
12. Present construction programs and data to influence project planning decisions.
13. Coordinate with project teams to accelerate tasks and resolve issues.
14. Plan internal operations, materials, and scheduling.
15. Ensure planning activities comply with company procedures and identify improvement opportunities.
16. Conduct scenario planning to evaluate options and work with the delivery team to plan labor resources.
17. Understand contractual arrangements to prevent planning issues and develop mitigation scenarios.
18. Support site, construction, and delivery teams with planning advice.
19. Attend project meetings, present information, and update on responsibilities; occasional travel across the UK may be required.
20. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
8. Strong technical skills and experience in program validation.
9. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
10. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
11. Good understanding of the construction industry from design to completion.
