Abacus is partnering with a major law firm who is seeking an experienced Real Estate Lawyer with knowledge and expertise within the energy sector.In this role, you will play a key leadership role in advising clients on a wide range of property matters, including a particular focus on energy and infrastructure on clean energy and renewable projects. The firm is open to any jurisdictional experience including NI, ROI, Scotland, England & Wales. You will advise on the development and construction of major energy and infrastructure projects at a local, national and international level. This may include onshore, offshore, EV, road, rail, airports and more. You will lead a team to draft and negotiate complex commercial property agreements, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, financings, and joint ventures. You will also support and manage the legal team and oversee aspects of their work but this team is already established and in sync with work and client demands. You will either already be at Partner level or a level below but striving to achieve this status. A depth of PQE in commercial property law at a reputable law practice or in-house legal team is required. Along with a strong understanding of commercial property transactions, including energy and infrastructure experience, with particular experience in clean energy and renewable projects.
