We have a fantastic opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic individual to lead our Building, Property Information and Compliance team based in the historic and cultural city of York.

You will work with a variety of partners, customers, and clients on the delivery of a professional service that maximises resources and delivers positive outcomes.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Building Control, Property Information, monitoring and compliance along with a flood risk engineer. The post holder will lead, motivate, and manage the teams.
You will be business and customer-focused with a demonstrable record of identifying opportunities, achieving outcomes, managing change, and exercising strong leadership skills. You will be self-motivated with a flexible and collaborative approach to work and have the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands whilst meeting tight deadlines.
Ideal Candidates Should Have:
* Substantial knowledge of Local Authority working and management
* Knowledge of customer care and the principles of equal opportunities
* A proven record of the ability to act as the lead officer
* A high level of self-motivation
* Excellent time management

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
