* Hourly Rate: £19.66 ph / £37,261 - £40,478 per annum
* Location: Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey
* Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
* Holidays: 35 days pro rata
* Duration: Temporary, ongoing until 31.03.25 (with a possibility of extension)

Your focus will be to develop, implement, and review the Council’s Good Relations Strategy and Action Plans, ensuring alignment with other strategies and compliance with legislation. Duties will include:
* Monitor financial expenditure, prepare progress reports, and ensure budgets meet guidelines.
* Design and deliver Community Relations and Cultural Diversity programmes that promote respect and support for diversity.
* Promote equity, inclusivity, and accessibility through community engagement and partnerships.
* Manage the Good Relations Grant programme, ensuring transparency and encouraging community participation.
* Mainstream Good Relations issues via effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
* Support peacebuilding, Community Planning, and tailored projects for ethnic minorities and migrant workers.
* Provide advice, support, and capacity-building initiatives for community groups to foster civic pride and citizenship.
Criteria:
* A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline OR Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience without a third-level qualification.
At least 2 years in programme management, including:
* Drafting policy and advising strategic partnerships.
* Promoting, implementing, and delivering projects.
* Building networks and partnerships.
* Performance management with high-quality, timely results.
* Research and analysis of complex issues.
* Relationship building with councils, government, and stakeholders.
* Leadership, motivation, and partnership development.
* Creativity and innovation, both individually and collaboratively.
* Comprehensive knowledge of governance and accountability practices with respect to the administration of funding
* Sound knowledge of available funding opportunities in the Northern Ireland context
* Good understanding of the issues affecting community relations and good relations regionally and more locally
* Full current driving licence, or, if a disability prevents driving, access to a suitable form of transport to enable the duties of the post to be carried out in full
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Windows Applications
