This is an exciting opportunity within the NENC Integrated Care Board for a Permanent, Band 3, Primary Care Officer role within the Contracting and Procurement Directorate in either Pemberton House or existing base location if already employed by the ICB.
The post is full-time (37.5hrs/week).
The successful candidate will live by our Values and Behaviours and help to achieve the ambitions and key priorities of the ICB. You will also contribute to shaping the future across newly formed teams.
The nature of the role demands a significant degree of autonomy, the ability to manage and respond to day-to-day challenges as well as a high degree of intellectual flexibility. You will have excellent communication and engagement skills and meet the essential criteria outlined within the Job Description.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing effective, comprehensive, confidential, administrative and/or project business-level support on a day-to-day basis.
2. Being aware of work priorities and ensuring all required deadlines are met.
3. Supporting teams with business requests including collating reports and/or data, supporting with meetings and events, arranging dates and venues, collating agenda items and supporting documents and papers, producing minutes and progress action logs relevant to this.
4. Supporting the wider team working in the directorate.
5. Working as an effective team member to ensure that all administrative/data/project work priorities are covered across the organisation.
Our Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the largest in the country, responsible for ensuring that high quality and safe health services are accessible to all of our communities. It has a wide range of functions, including promoting integration of health and care services, improving people's health and well-being, and reducing health inequalities.
With a £6.6 billion budget and a workforce of 170,000 people across the North East and North Cumbria, ICB staff also work at place level with local health and wellbeing boards in each of our 14 local authority areas. These teams work alongside our 67 primary care networks, which are groups of local GP practices, social care teams, and other community-based area providers.
The ICB works with our Provider Collaborative, which includes the 11 NHS Foundation Trusts in the region, to deliver our shared priorities.
