Job summary
NHFT are currently looking to appoint a Consultant Psychiatrist in Older Adult's Liaison Psychiatry. The role will be based at Northampton General Hospital
Main duties of the job
The post holder will demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will need to be a born leader and a people person who loves to collaborate and innovate. You need to be MRC psych or equivalent with full registration, licensed and specialist registered or within six months of obtaining your CCT on the date of the Advisory Appointment Committee. The ability to travel to all locations within the Trust is essential.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
6. The applicant will possess MRCPsych or equivalent, be included on the GMC's Specialist Register or Specialist Registrars within six months of completing CCT
7. Full GMC Registration
8. Management skills
9. Basic computer skills including ability to use email/Internet

10. Publications in the field of psychiatry
11. Management training

14. Ability to demonstrate an understanding of broad perspective of the service within a wider context of NHS Mental Health Services and Primary Care Trusts/Groups
15. Experience of training psychiatric Core trainees and multidisciplinary staff

16. Evidence of first hand experience of developing services in a constantly changing environment and to tight budgetary restraints
17. Experience of setting up induction and training packages for Junior Doctors
18. Experience of training Specialist Registrars
19. Understanding of contracting, finance and activity monitoring
