This is an important position for a dedicated SAP Support Analyst to join a well-established engineering and construction company based in North Nottinghamshire.
The Job role will be based at our Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction site in Worksop but may require visits to our other sites (offices, manufacturing & project sites) as required to deliver/support our IT demands.
Overview
We are seeking a motivated SAP Support Analyst to join our dynamic team to provide our SAP users technical/procedural support for our SAP systems. In this role you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving SAP related issues, as well as providing guidance and training to end-users. You will collaborate closely with our SAP team (onshore / offshore), business users, and other IT support teams to ensure smooth operation of our Laing O'Rourke's SAP platform.
You will be responsible for:
* Troubleshooting and resolving queries related to SAP modules, including but not limited to SAP PS, SD, MM, PP, FICO, EPPM, WM, PM, Personas, and SAP Fiori.
* Providing timely and effective support to end-users experiencing SAP-related issues. Offer guidance, training, and documentation to ensure users can efficiently utilise SAP functionalities and processes.
* Assisting with the planning, testing and execution of SAP system upgrades, enhancements, and migrations. Collaborating with functional expertise to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to the business operations.
* Maintaining comprehensive documentation of root cause analyses.
* Managing & documenting known errors.
* Logging and assigning tickets on ServiceNow.
* Liaising with SAP SI partners to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
* Conducting thorough analysis of existing SAP systems, processes, and technologies to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
* Reporting on ticket volumes.
* Ensuring support service offering to Laing O'Rourke SAP users does not deteriorate.
* Integration and collaboration with wider IT department.
* Working as part of a wider IT team and aligning internal processes and ways of working with teams across the globe.
To be successful you will have:
* Experience in SAP ECC6 or SAP S4/HANA.
* Knowledge of best practices in SAP.
* SAP support experience across multiple modules.
* Knowledge of SAP module integration.
* Experience in testing application enhancements.
* Experience using ticket management applications such as ServiceNow.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ambition and willingness to learn.
Desirable Skills / Experience
* An understanding of SAP modules: PP, SD, and WM.
* Experience using SAP in a manufacturing environment.
