We're recruiting for a Lecturer-Carpentry to join our team as Bank staff,on a variable hours contract to 7.2 hpw, fixed term basis to 4th July 2025. The salary scale for this role is £13.62- £23.79 per hour, inclusive of London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience. The Role; Our Smart Construction department, based at our accessible Rush Green Campus, is preparing young people and adults across the smart construction disciplines to enter the workforce. You'll provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department's courses. You'll also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision. Key responsibilities of our Lecturer-Carpentry ; Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them int heir own development and future progression Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector Our ideal Lecturer-Carpentry should have the following qualifications, skills and experience; Hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors Have recent and relevant experience of teaching subject to learners from Entry Level to Level 2 Possess excellent interpersonal and team development skills and have the ability to contribute to the team and its goals. Be able to work independently and as a member of the team All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements.
