Team Job is offering an exciting opportunity for candidates to join team as a Development & Research Technician in the Electronics department in Peterborough to start ASAP. The successful candidate for Development and Research Technician will be responsible for electronic engine, systems, software development and setting up non-production test equipment. Pay Rate: £13.55- 15.65 (depending on experience) Working Hours: Full time Position 8:30- 4:45 Monday- Thursday 08:30-16:15 Friday Fully on site Main responsibilities: -Interpret from engineering drawings and use skills to build and test your own work. -Mechanically assemble test boxes according to a schematic drawing, requiring good mechanical hand skills. -Perform assembly in a non-production environment including, connecting cables and harnesses to a schematic drawing and pinout, cutting and crimping terminals, soldering, and assembling connectors. -Following safety procedures diligently. Key Skills: - Assembling and mechanically build test boxes to a schematic drawing. - Good mechanical hand skills and ensuring quality in the result eg: Drilling, tapping, using suitable hand tools. - Understanding and applying electrical schematic drawings and pinouts. - Identifying fault finding and resolve equipment issues using handheld electrical measurement tools eg: multimeter and oscilloscope. - The ability to search and select suitable electrical components for order. - Follow, develop and improve local processes. Essential Experience: - Previous Technical experience of Electronic/ Electrical products or related Production systems. - Previous experience of building Electronic/ Electrical equipment and harnesses -A good technical qualifications such as a relevant HNC or equivalent -Experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, control systems or automotive engineering Industries.
