We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in operating CNC machinery to produce components. Based in Alfreton, this is initially for 8 weeks but has the potential to become a permanent role Duties Operate CNC Lathe to manufacture metal and plastic parts according to specifications and engineering drawings. Set up and adjust CNC machines for optimal performance, ensuring accuracy in production. Utilise power tools and hand tools for assembly and finishing processes as required. Conduct quality checks using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications. Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise. What we are looking for Proficient in using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for interpreting technical drawings. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to assemble, disassemble, and weld components as necessary. Familiarity with tooling techniques and the use of various machining tools. Basic maths skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances. Experience with power tools and hand tools relevant to machining operations. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
