The School of Health and Life Sciences is now seeking to appoint to the post of Senior Lecturer Teaching Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) in Secondary emergency and Urgent Care to contribute to teaching, research, enterprise and knowledge exchange the Department of Allied Health Professions in the School of Health & Life Sciences.
The standard TSPP academic role at the University includes a combination of teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administrative activities. While all functions will combine these areas of work, the relative weight of each will vary between and over time for each role holder.
The postholder must be a practising AHP on the HCPC register or nurse on the NMC register and must hold both a first degree and Masters in relevant discipline / equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline. You should have experience working in Secondary Care and/or urgent/emergency care settings. You will utilise your knowledge to contribute to teaching, knowledge exchange, enterprise, and business engagement. Applicants must hold or willing to achieve a relevant Teaching Qualification normally within two years of employment i.e PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation alongside a Membership of a relevant professional body / Registered professional in the discipline / equivalent level of professional practice.
The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
