Faith Fostering is recruiting a bank of skilled and experienced self-employed Social Workers to undertake Form F Assessments independently. A flexible schedule is essential to accommodate the varying hours and days required to meet the needs of applicants. A valid driving license and access to a car are prerequisites, given the significant role transportation plays in visits across the North West. In the capacity of an Independent Form F Assessor, you will conduct home visits for prospective Foster Carers, gathering relevant information to inform your comprehensive report. Your responsibility extends to producing and presenting high-quality, evidence-based Form F assessment reports to our panel within an agreed-upon timeframe set at the point of allocation, in collaboration with the Faith Fostering Registered Manager. Establishing effective working relationships with applicants and other professionals involved in the assessment process is a key aspect of this role. As an Independent Form F Assessor, you must possess a solid understanding of and adherence to all childcare legislation, including Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards. The role requires motivation, flexibility, empathy, and a deep understanding. Effective interpersonal and communication skills at all levels are essential. Your commitment to personal development will be evident through participation in training and regular supervision sessions with the Faith Fostering Registered Manager. You will be paid up to £2000 per assessment. Work pattern: Flexible – Weekdays, Evenings and Weekends Experience: Social work: 2 years (minimum) Experience working within a fostering service Experience in undertaking competence-based Form F Assessments Willingness to work on a flexible basis, e.g. evenings and weekends. Ability to produce high-quality written assessment reports. Confidence and proficiency in presenting to Fostering Panels.
