About the role
As a Production Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of our production operations; leading, managing and motivating a great team to make sure the day-to-day production and packaging operation runs smoothly.
What you'll do
Leading and working alongside a small, close-knit team, as a Team Leader you’ll make sure that the daily production line plan is implemented, and all targets and deadlines are met. You’ll have a good eye for detail so that only the highest standard of goods are produced and packed. Positive and enthusiastic, you’ll engage with your team and be on hand to provide direction and support, whilst making sure the team are working effectively and safely in line with food safety, health and safety, and hygiene processes. Working in a food production environment means that sometimes you’ll be exposed to flour and dust.
About you
You’ve had some experience of leading a team and love playing an active part in the success of your workmates. You’ve had some experience of working in a production or manufacturing site, ideally within the food industry. You’re comfortable with standing for long periods of time, lifting and carrying, as well as other tasks such as cleaning. You’re comfortable with handling, preparing and baking food. You have pride in the quality of the products you produce. You know what you’re talking about when it comes to Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements. You’re happy talking to a variety of people from different backgrounds and you can discuss your teams results with the Production Manager as naturally as having a chat with your colleagues on the floor. You’re good at planning and organising your own work and time, as well as your teams, to make sure targets are met. You have a good level of numeracy and literacy and you’re able to follow specific processes and procedures. You know what you’re talking about when it comes to using Microsoft Word and Excel and you’ve had experience working with SAP systems.
