Job summary We are seeking to recruit an education wellbeing practitioner to join the Tower Hamlets Education Wellbeing Service (THEWS). Candidates must have a recognised EMHP or CWP qualification and have applied for registration with BABCP and/or BPS. THEWS is a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) established following the government Green Paper: Transforming Children & Young People's Mental Health Provision. Supporting the senior mental health lead in each education setting to introduce, develop and deliver the whole school/college approach. Giving timely advice to school and college staff, and liaising with external specialist services, to help CYP to get the right support and stay in education. Main duties of the job The postholder will deliver and assess outcome focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild-to-moderate mental health problems, and their families, parents, and carers. They will support the senior mental health lead to introduce or develop their whole school/college approach. They will also liaise with supervisors to agree appropriate signposting and referrals for children and young people. About us THEWS is part of the Tower Hamlets Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) based in Whitechapel, East London. In line with Trust policy, the service has adopted a hybrid clinical working model of direct face to face and remote working as appropriate.
