GIPSIL is committed to all aspects of safeguarding. We believe that all children and adults, who are at risk of harm, have the right to be protected from abuse. GIPSIL aims to ensure that all staff and voluntary workers who seek work at GIPSIL and who have access to children and adults are safe to do so.
We are a disability confident employer.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and respected team of Wellbeing workers, delivering Emotional and issue-based Wellbeing support to children and young people on a 1:1 and group work basis in Schools, offsites and where requested on an outreach basis across the City. You will be required to work restoratively to support a caseload of vulnerable young people and work closely with School staff, parents and other agencies, attending multi-agency meetings around the child as requested. Wellbeing workers will carry out assessments, maintain case records and provide reports as required. As a Wellbeing worker you will also be required to contribute to the coordination and delivery of School holiday activities, ensuring the young people we support have access to positive School holiday provision, promoting healthy social interactions, healthy and active lifestyles and fun.
We are looking for candidates with experience and a passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people, with a good knowledge of Safeguarding, an ability to act as an advocate where appropriate and confidence when working autonomously, as well as part of a team and across services.
