About The Role
Role Overview
proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.
Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Event Technician to be a key part of our London team, representing proAV and working onsite at a global professional services firm, taking full responsibility for providing technical onsite support, managing the event spaces.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Event Technician to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support & manage Event spaces from an operational / technical perspective on a day-to-day basis in collaboration with wider AV Team.
2. Take overall ownership of event from conception to completion by deploying the best fit resources.
3. Work closely with onsite AV Manager to ensure events are sufficiently resourced, including sub-contracting where applicable.
4. Serve as a main point of contact and subject matter expert to clients and planners, for presentation and live broadcast events.
5. Support & manage Webinars.
6. Devise, document, maintain and implement operating procedures for Auditorium and event support rooms.
7. Mentor AV Technicians to cover / support events as required.
8. Conduct client debrief, obtaining customer feedback and discuss areas for continual improvement.
9. Collate and provide post event reporting, stats, and client feedback as required.
10. Assist with the setting up and supporting of presentations / conferences across the estate.
11. Provide white glove / meet and greet service that manages technical logistics for large complex events, town halls and special events.
12. Generate daily reports and contact VIP clients to establish full nature of meeting and event requirements (as required).
13. Ensure routine checks and testing across all event related hardware and systems functionality.
14. Work alongside onsite AV Manager for coordination and management of repairs via proAV helpdesk teams.
15. Work alongside onsite AV Manager for coordination and ownership of software / firmware upgrades / processes.
16. Always remain client facing and calm under pressure.
Person Specification
1. Must be well presented at all times / smart attire.
2. Well organised and flexible and to be able to approach different tasks during the working day.
3. Willing to undertake training and examinations to improve technical knowledge.
4. Ability to multitask and work under pressure to strict deadlines.
5. Possess a strong understanding of digital AV environments, IT terminology including network architecture and structured cabling.
Desirable Skills
1. Working knowledge of Audio Visual technologies including:
* Crestron: digital matrix, control systems, control panels
* LED wall technology
* Q-sys
* Lightware
* NEC
* Shure
* Blackmagic
* Webex / Zoom (meeting and webinars)
* Broadcasting (NDI/Vision mixing)
Hours of Work
40 hours per week, 9 hours a day on a rotational shift basis between 7am-7pm, including an hour unpaid break, Monday-Friday.
