University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust covers a large geographic area which encompasses the Furness peninsula, the city of Lancaster and the Lake District. Clinical investigation Services are provided on three sites, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Furness General Hospital and Westmorland General Hospital. The post will be on the Royal Lancaster Infirmary site.
An opportunity has arisen to join a friendly, committed team in clinical Investigations. We are looking for a motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic individual.
The Clinical Investigation Unit provides a wide range of invasive and non-invasive services. We have a dedicated Cardiac centre based at Westmorland offering Angiography, pacing and CRT services.
Applicants must possess BHRS/IBHRE accreditation and have proof of continued professional development, excellent communication and customer care skills and demonstrate a willingness to work both independently and as part of the wider team.
Main duties of the job
To work effectively and efficiently as part of the Clinical Investigations team in providing a high-quality service, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.
To independently conduct pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantations and follow-ups, both in-person and through remote monitoring. Offer device services across the three UHMBHT sites: Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), Westmorland General Hospital (WGH - where the lab is based), and Furness General Hospital (FGH), including support for the established MRI services at RLI and FGH. Additionally, provide assistance in other areas of the Clinical Investigations Unit (CIU) as needed, such as the analysis of ambulatory ECG.
About us
We operate from three main hospitals - FGH, RLI and WGH, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom, GP practices and QVC and Ulverston Health Centre.
FGH and RLI have a range of general hospital services with Emergency care and critical coronary units and various Consultant led services.
WGH provides a range of general hospital service, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostic, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
Our community services for adults are provided in people's homes, community centres, clinics, GP practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent, improve their health and manage their conditions through high-quality care, advice and support.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications
* BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
* Evidence of maintaining relevant Continuing Professional Development
* ILS
* ASCST
Experience
* Appropriate and relevant post degree clinical experience.
* Highly developed specialist knowledge acquired through training as a Clinical Physiologist.
* Expertise acquired through in-depth experience - Knowledge and experience of advanced and highly specialist procedures acquired through accredited courses.
* Experience in day-to-day supervision of staff.
* Ability to lead and take part in audit or research projects
* Undertakes testing and trials of clinical equipment
* Evidence of highly developed written and oral communication skills in English in a variety of settings.
* Experience of working within a team
* Proven ability to manage resources effectively

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 a year per annum, pro rata.
