About the role
Reporting to the Global Securitas Operating Center (GSOC) Manager, a Configuration Manager is responsible for managing the configuration and deployment of the GSOC systems, delivering a global service.
This includes overseeing (key) users to ensure effective utilization of the systems, managing and supporting (key) users responsible for specific systems or applications within the organization.
The Configuration Manager is responsible for system configuration (ensuring systems are correctly configured to meet organizational requirements), providing training, coordinating training sessions, and offering ongoing support to (key) users in the physical GSOC and country key-users to ensure proficiency in system usage.
With the help of (key) users, the Configuration Manager drafts changes, validates functional specifications, manages User Acceptance Tests (UAT), and formally approves delivered functionalities.
Responsibilities:
* Setting up the GSOC systems (e.g., MAS EX, Immix), safeguarding data models, configuration templates, and user authorizations.
* Coordinating implementations of updates and new functionalities with internal and external parties, and maintaining up-to-date documentation and manuals.
* Documenting and approving work instructions (managing the centralized database).
* Monitoring and analyzing system performance.
* Delivering management information from the GSOC systems.
* Managing issues systematically and escalating incidents as needed.
* Acting as an intermediary between users and application management (application owners), representing the user organization within the application management organization.
* Preparing drafts of changes, validating functional specifications, and supporting change management processes.
* Executing and coordinating User Acceptance Tests (UAT) and formally accepting delivered functionalities.
* Training, guiding, and supporting key users and end users.
* Recruiting, developing, and managing the key-user team as the GSOC expands.
Skills:
* Technical knowledge and experience with SOC systems/applications.
* Strong communicator with sensitivity and respect for cultural differences.
* Leadership, stakeholder management, and administrative skills.
* Structured and analytical working style with proven project management skills.
* Knowledge of organizational and business processes.
* Strong operational background and general IT understanding.
* Ability to prioritize interests of different stakeholders.
* Fluent English language proficiency.
Location
The role can be based in the United Kingdom, preferably in the Milton Keynes area.
Working conditions
We offer a long-term partnership with a contract of employment. The position is full-time, but part-time (minimum 32 hours) is negotiable.
