What Does a Trainee Energy Consultant do?
* As a Trainee Energy Consultant, you'll conduct home visits and phone consultations to ask residents a series of questions to gain an understanding of their energy consumption patterns.
* The advice can include a variety of solutions, for example advising customers on reducing their fuel bills, switching suppliers, accessing discounts, changing behaviours, fitting small practical energy-saving measures like LED light bulbs and draft proofing, among others.
* You'll also help raise awareness about other available support and helping householders access funded home energy improvements, e.g. loft insulation or heating upgrades.
* Advisers play a key role in addressing fuel poverty and the energy crisis, making a significant impact on sustainability efforts across the country.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
* Complete Energy Consultant Training: Complete a fully funded, online 8-week Energy Consultant training programme to obtain a Level 3 Energy Awareness qualification.
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills to ensure clear communication with residents.
* Understanding & empathy: A nuanced understanding of the barriers and challenges the disadvantaged members of the community face; desire to support them.
* Digital Competence: Proficiency with digital tools, smart devices, and capable of quickly learning industry standard software.
* Driver's License: Ability and willingness to travel across your local area.
* Committed to upskilling to work as an Energy Consultant and passionate about energy efficiency.

Pay: £23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
