The EHS Team is responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy and sustainable work environment. This is achieved through compliance with regulatory and Seagate specific requirements and maintaining our accredited management systems.
About the role - you will:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental, Health & Safety Intern wishing to take on an 11-month placement over the next academic year, commencing on 1st September 2025 and ending on 21st August 2026. The successful candidate will join our team based in Springtown in Derry.
-You will:
1. Assist with the day-to-day management of environmental, health and safety issues in a high-tech manufacturing facility.
2. Work on a broad range of EHS programs including the following:
1. Waste management & minimisation projects
2. EHS Management systems i.e., ISO 45001 & 14001
3. Compliance audits
4. Management of emergency response teams and first aiders
5. Accident/incident investigation
About you:
-You are:
1. Currently studying a degree programme in the following disciplines – Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Health or Safety Management, General Science/Engineering. Preference may be given to candidates studying in Environment or Safety disciplines.
2. Have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft 365, be self-motivated and possess excellent communication and team working skills.
Your experience includes:
1. Currently undertaking a Bachelor or Master’s degree in the following disciplines – Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Health or Safety Management, General Science/Engineering. Preference may be given to candidates studying in Environment or Safety disciplines.
2. Excellent communication skills

This is a Full-Time position working 39 hours per week, on-site working. The placement dates are: Starting on Monday, 1st September 2025 and finishing Friday, 21st August 2026.
