Electrical Projects Manager
With significant developments with new projects across the business, Pennine Refrigeration Services are recruiting for an Electrical Projects Manager to support the ongoing expansion of the contracting team. As an Electrical Projects Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company’s electrical design and ensuring profitability from all electrical work associated with the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project management
* Produce accurate and detailed quotations relating to electrical project works (Where necessary, project-manage the efficient execution of electrical project works)
* Take full ownership and financial responsibility for the department's project works that you are engaged with, including onsite commissioning support for project works & agreed financial constraints
* Oversee the training and development of the company’s onsite engineers/trainees
* Demonstrate excellent customer-facing skills (Represent the organisation within external project meetings when requested)
* Engage and manage all sub-contractors utilised on project work (Manage contractor tenders, claims and final accounts)
* Address any commissioning/post commissioning issues immediately
2. General management
* Participate and, where required, lead the Research and Development of new systems and products that are identified as being potentially beneficial to the company
* Take responsibility for training the company’s junior electrical/controls engineers and apprentices (Show motivation and a willingness to employ initiative where required)
* Maintain a working knowledge of relevant legal regulations
Requirements:
1. Essentially educated to HND/HNC or degree level in an engineering-related subject (Ideally 18th Edition or equivalent)
2. Excellent IT skills: Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, including experience of relevant PLC software
3. Problem-solving, with excellent interpersonal skills & effective time management
4. Strong commercial/financial awareness
5. The ability to present design ideas and plans clearly
6. Sound decision-making ability, with excellent communication skills, written and oral
7. Previous experience within a similar role
Desirable:
1. Experience within the refrigeration industry
2. Knowledge and experience of RDM & other PLC controls (Ideally within the refrigeration sector)
