The Postholder duties will include meeting and greeting customers at reception, answering the main switchboard, answering and directing calls as required, monitoring visitor access to the Company premises to maintain security, and maintaining an efficient and professional reception area. Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate may be asked to cover the hours worked by the other person sharing the role of Receptionist/Administrator when that person is absent due to annual leave or short-term sickness.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of reception and administrative procedures, experience of multi-tasking, good planning & organization skills, and excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Competence in using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word & Excel, is required for this role, as is recent experience of administration and switchboard operation and experience of team working within a busy reception department.
Wednesday Afternoon to Friday (19hrs) – Will need to cover Monday to Wednesday morning for holidays and sickness – this is a job share role.
