Stantec is currently seeking an experienced Director of Civil Engineering to lead our established infrastructure team in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing global business, to lead and expand a successful team, to deliver and build upon the existing projects within our portfolio and identify new opportunities in the market.
As our Director of Civil Engineering, you will head up our well-established civils team where you will lead the technical delivery of our current schemes while identifying and developing new opportunities in the market.
You will take the lead on multi-disciplinary bids and projects and be responsible for directing, mentoring, training and performance management of the civil infrastructure team. You'll also draw upon the capability and networks of other disciplines within our Scottish offices to create opportunity for the Civils team and wider business.
You will be an important part of the wider leadership group across our business in Scotland, devising and delivering strategy to help us achieve our goals.
About You
You will be a Chartered Engineer, with an MEng or BEng Degree with demonstrable experience in leading a successful team in delivering civil infrastructure solutions.
You will have a with a proven track record of project delivery and working with the public sector, local authorities, Transport Scotland, energy suppliers and D&B contractors.
You will have a strong client facing ethos, can-do attitude and the ability to present complex projects and concepts to all manner of fellow professionals and stakeholders. You will have excellent infrastructure technical design knowledge, chairing client and consultation project meetings and reporting skills.
This is an important role for our civil infrastructure team and a great opportunity to play a key role in Stantec's growth plans over the coming years.
