Your Role
As a Graduate Project Engineer, You Will
1. Support the management of contracts with key customers across the UK and neighbouring countries.
2. Assist Project and Programme Managers in executing engineering projects efficiently, ensuring smooth project progression and stakeholder alignment.
3. Take ownership of small projects under the supervision of senior managers, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure health & safety, environmental compliance, and customer satisfaction, playing a key role in risk assessment and mitigation.
5. Participate in project planning, execution, and closure phases, gaining exposure to all aspects of the engineering project lifecycle and ensuring all necessary documentation is maintained.
6. Contribute to the development of Mitsubishi Power Europe’s Programme Management Quality Management System (QMS) by engaging in continuous process improvement initiatives.
7. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of project components and adherence to quality standards.
8. Engage in technical and commercial discussions with customers, supporting contract negotiations and ensuring all engineering solutions align with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in project budget updates, financial reporting, and alignment with management objectives, ensuring financial efficiency and cost control.
2. Ensure HGPP rotation plan is updated and coordinate Hot Gas Path Parts provision and arrangement for the projects assigned.
3. Support the coordination of spare parts provision, outage planning, and vendor management, working to optimise resources and reduce downtime.
4. Ensure compliance with commercial processes and internal procedures, maintaining high operational and regulatory standards.
5. Play an active role in health & safety arrangements and quality assurance initiatives, contributing to a strong safety culture.
6. Support outage execution on-site, assisting with logistics, vendor coordination, and cost control while ensuring projects remain on track and meet performance expectations.
7. Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement activities to enhance project outcomes, capturing best practices for future projects.
8. Assist in monitoring project KPIs and preparing reports for senior management to track progress and performance.
9. Develop a deep understanding of Mitsubishi Power Europe’s operational framework and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
