Job summary Clinical Nurse Educator, Band 6 (30 hours a week) We have an exciting opportunity for band 6 position within our Gynaecology ward. Within the ward we provide care for inpatients with a range of gynaecological conditions including those in early pregnancy. We also have an emergency assessment unit attached to the ward in order to provide timely management of a range of gynaecological urgent conditions. You must be able to work well under pressure and have a willingness to learn and develop your own skills. You will be expected to provide the highest standard of evidence based; patient-centred care. You will have a passion for education training and development of staff which will ultimately impact the patients An extensive knowledge of gynaecology conditions and how to manage them is essential, and recent experience of working clinically in a gynaecology setting. An interest and experience in teaching is also essential. Additional working pattern details: Shift pattern Main duties of the job The position will require working as a Sister / Charge Nurse within an acute gynaecology ward and emergency assessment unit, taking charge when required while also ensuring the high standards of the Trust are met and maintained through implementation and evaluation of nursing care. An element of this role will be as a clinical educator, demonstrating specialist knowledge and skills commensurate with a clinical expert and effective leader, serving as a role model, an agent of change and facilitator of work-based learning.
