Baking brilliance makes every day special. The Process Technologist will ensure the smooth introduction of new products. To provide baking skills back-up service to the Bakeries. To be in the link between Product Development and Production teams This is a fast paced role, where the successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills. They will have knowledge of p lant and equipment – what the machinery is expected to do and in principle how it operates, and to be able to identify faults. As well as knowledge of raw materials, their makeup and functionality This role is based in Cardiff, and is a great opportunity for someone to gain experience with one of the UK’s largest bakery businesses. This is what you’ll actually do As the Process Technologist they will carry out full plant trials to the agreed procedures and provide in-depth reports on the trials that accurately reflect the work carried out including all required measurements, comments and recommended next steps. They will provide baking skills in-put to keeping the damage levels in the bakery below 3%, and attend NPD Tracker meetings and provide information on the status of products moving to development and receive requests for work from the NPD department The Process Technologist must ensure that Production Management are fully briefed on all trials affecting their department, be responsible for planning and running all plant trials and for providing accurate information via plant trial reports attendance at NPD Tracker meetings Ideally this is you · Plant and equipment – what the machinery is expected to do and in principle how it operates, and to be able to identify faults · Knowledge of raw materials, their makeup and functionality · Undertaking of the production procedure and the effects on the final product · Ability to work methodically and prepare accurate reports · Knowledge of baking and recipe reformulation Our vision is to be the leading speciality bakery group in the UK, and we want the best people in place to achieve this.
