Field Service Engineer

£38,000 + Van + Phone + Training + Benefits
This is a great opportunity to join an ever expanding company. You will be staying away 3x per week on average repairing a range of Boiler systems, based out of their site in Devon.
Servicing and maintenance of Biomass boilers Nationwide - 25% local work - will be staying away 3 nights most weeks.
The Candidate:
1. Servicing of boilers nationally and undertaking all relevant paperwork
2. Accurately assess parts and labour required for servicing / breakdowns / further action work
3. Troubleshoot issues, and attend breakdowns
4. Provide detailed reports and further action for breakdowns, including parts lists if required
5. Provide technical support to customers over the phone
6. Supervising / training of any junior members of staff where applicable
7. Support the technical manager
8. Assist clients and Aftersales team with technical issues
9. Ensuring all H&S processes and procedures are adhered to
10. Compile servicing reports, and adhere to a high standard of paperwork
11. Assist the installation team as and when required
12. Work away during the week when required
The Role:
1. Previous experience in a similar position - any mechanical engineering background, whether that is agricultural, boilers or any machinery.
2. Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification - desirable
3. Ability to proactively work and contribute as part of a team
4. Effective skills in planning, organising and prioritising personal workload
5. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, other trades and clients
6. Good level of written and spoken English
7. Full Driving License
8. Welding - desirable
9. IPAF/PASMA License - desirable
10. Biomass experience - desirable
