Contract: Temporary - 5 Weeks
The Play Service are looking for enthusiastic workers who are passionate about working with children and young people. The role includes being part of a team to provide play activities during school holidays in the form of Play and Wellbeing Camps, Food and Fun Camps and playschemes to encourage positive wellbeing.
The post holder will be expected to oversee a small team of staff and volunteers to deliver play-based activities within a provision which encourages positive mental and physical wellbeing.
Ideally you will have some previous experience of Playwork or working with children and young people.

Qualifications / Experience:
Essential
1. Attainment of or working towards a relevant level 3 qualification in Playwork, Youthwork, Early Years Care or equivalent.
2. A good understanding of the importance of play for children, young people and the wider community.
3. Previous experience of working with children and young people.
Desirable
4. Proven experience in Playwork/ Youthwork/ Early Years or equivalent.
5. Experience of supporting staff and passing on relevant information.
6. Previous practical experience/involvement in delivering appropriate stimulating play activities and opportunities for children with a range of abilities.
7. The ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks in order to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the playscheme.
