Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a young lady living in the Canton area of Cardiff, with my family. I have Cerebral Palsy, I can also experience some anxiety. I would really like to have support from a female to assist me in the community as well as some personal care.
I like to go shopping, to go the cinema, to attend concerts and go bowling.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide me companionship.
To keep me safe and calm.
Assist and support me in the community.
PLACE OF WORK
In my home and in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
3 hours a week to be worked flexibly in weekdays/evenings to be agreed.
RATE OF PAY
£12.65 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
Companionship
Support to access the community
Support in travelling to and from activities.
Support and assist with personal care to access the toilet.
Assist with my hair and putting on my shoes.
To attend a manual handling course to ensure safety of the PA as well as myself. This is a free course and you will be paid for the hours to attend the course.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRE
Someone who can support my emotional well being.
Someone who is patient and kind.
Someone who is dependable and reliable.
Someone who may have similar interests as myself.
Car owner driver is essential.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You may be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
