We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join us on our Birmingham contract on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of maintenance and repairs on all electrical engineering services as required, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
An Electrician also operates within company Health and Safety guidelines and remains up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas.
The Project
An Electrician's duties and responsibilities will include the following:
1. Installing, servicing, and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.
2. Installation, repair, inspection & testing of electrical installations and the ability to fill in correctly the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report.
3. Carrying out EICRs and remedial upgrades to void properties, and completing day-to-day repairs.
4. Completing reactive maintenance work as per the specification.
5. Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
6. Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
7. Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job.
8. Recording and submitting accurate timesheets corresponding with booking sheets.
9. Working in a timely and productive manner to complete projects.
10. Providing excellent customer service to client representatives.
11. Arranging the purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner.
12. Complying with Fortem safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times.
Essential and Desirable Criteria
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
Essential criteria:
1. C&G 2360 Part 1&2 Electrotechnical Competences plus the NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2&3 plus the NVQ 3 Certificate or NVQ 3 2356 certificate.
2. C&G 18th Edition Certificate.
3. C&G 2391.
4. Full UK driving license (Max 5 points).
Desirable:
1. Unvented Hot Water Certificate Water Regulations Certificate Part P.
2. JIPB H&S Test Certificate with Current JIBP card.
3. Testing & Inspecting Certificate C&G 2377.
4. PAT Certificate.
