We are delighted that Alternative Learning Trust has received Department for Education approval to open a new Alternative Provision school for children aged 11-16 on the Island of Sheppey.
Sheppey School
This vacancy is for our new Sheppey school opening in September 2024. Our school will initially provide education for up to 115 students. Our school will offer a broad and balanced learning journey for students in Years 7 – 11 with a broad range of vocational qualifications available as well as traditional GCSEs in core subjects. Our aim is to provide pathways which lead to exciting onward opportunities in education or workplaces. We will strive to ensure that all of our students receive additional opportunities in school to become responsible, respectful and active citizens who are able to play their part and become actively involved in public life as adults. We pride ourselves in our collaborative work with our local communities, and we aim to establish this quickly in Sheppey while providing a long-awaited invaluable education provision for the Island community.
