Job Description:
Risk Advisory is a well-established department in the UK & Ireland region of Energy Systems and is primarily responsible for delivery of Advisory and safety management services to ensure that all operations are completed safely. Our team provides high quality services and best practice in risk identification, assessment and mitigation and assist our customers in risk-based decision support.
Reporting directly to the Head of Department, the Head of Section will lead a growing Integrity Management team of ~35 people, covering offshore fixed and floating structures, pipelines (transmission and distribution), onshore process plant and increasingly renewables including wind, solar and storage. Our Integrity Management offering provides end to end services including policies, procedures and standards, inspection planning, corrosion control, fitness for service, damage evaluation and failure analysis.
Key accountabilities:
1. Technical Delivery: Ensure that appropriate systems and processes are in place to deliver work within time to a high standard of quality. Drive a culture of excellence in technical delivery and in project management. Identify needs for service delivery, development and innovation.
2. People Development: Support and develop Team Leads, Technical Specialists and delegate tasks and initiatives appropriately. Provide support, management, technical leadership to your team, including mentoring and training. Build and strengthen a strong culture based on our Purpose, Vision and Values (PVV). Drive recruitment and staff retention across the section building a diverse and inclusive team.
3. Commercial/Strategic: Work closely with the Head of Department in designing, implementing, and achieving the Departments tactical and annual operating plans. Ensure efficient and consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations and required standards.
