We currently have vacancies for newly qualified and experienced First Level Registered Mental Health Nurses, within Psychiatry of Old Age services, Angus. We are a very friendly and welcoming service which consists of a 13 bedded functional assessment unit, 2 organic assessment & challenging behaviour units, which are located on two sites across Angus – Stracathro Hospital, and Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre.
Candidates should have a current registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council and if not newly qualified, be able to demonstrate equivalent experience of previous post registration experience.
Candidates must have a positive approach to teamwork, a commitment to caring for older people and to their ongoing professional development. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate current thinking, in relation to older people and mental health care and a willingness to respond positively to change. Experience of working with older people with both, organic and functional mental health problems and excellent communication skills are essential.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
Hours of work: full and part time available. It is a requirement of the posts that you participate in the provision of a 24-hour service and you will be required to work day or night duty dependant on the needs of the service. This will be remunerated, accordingly.
