Join Our Team and Make a Difference!
Are you passionate about making a positive impact and ready to use your skills to support an award-winning local charity? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Grants Officer to help drive donations and support for Parity for Disability.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of securing funding, primarily through writing compelling bids and completing grant applications. Your excellent writing, communication, and organisational skills will be key as you craft successful applications, manage deadlines, and follow up on awarded grants to ensure all requirements are met.
As part of our dynamic fundraising and engagement team, you'll also have opportunities to engage with supporters and participate in various events and activities. This position offers flexibility, with a mix of office-based and remote work.
If you're ready to make a real difference while honing your skills in grant writing and fundraising, we’d love to hear from you!
This position may be filled prior to the application deadline if a qualified candidate is found.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Prepare high-quality, tailored funding applications and proposals, making use of the data, case studies, budgets and project plans provided, and clearly articulating the charity’s vision, outcomes and the impact of its services.
2. Collaborate with staff and spend time within the services to gain insight into the data and case studies used to strengthen funding bids.
3. Review and discuss new grants with the fundraising team and monitor the grants landscape.
4. Work with the Community Support Lead to develop a pipeline of prospective funders to ensure a steady flow of applications throughout the year.
5. Maintain, nurture and build strong relationships with existing funders, ensuring they are engaged and informed about the impact of their contributions.
6. Provide timely and accurate feedback reports to funders, demonstrating the outcomes achieved with their support.
7. Organise funder engagement activities, such as site visits or events, to deepen donor relationships.
This is an exciting time to join Parity for Disability, as we progress service development and further raise awareness. You’ll be part of a successful, dynamic organisation working hard to ensure people with multiple disabilities can thrive, participate and be included in their community and beyond, whatever they want to do. Our dedication to excellence and equality, dignity and rights for people with multiple disabilities has made us a leader in the field.
When sending your c.v., please also include a note to explain why you are interested in this role.
