We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team in London. The Accounts Assistant will carry out various accounting and administrative tasks with the overall purpose of ensuring that financial transactions are carried out, recorded and controlled in an accurate, timely and secure manner. This position is ideal for an enthusiastic, talented individual with good organisation and a keen eye for detail who is looking to begin a career within accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities
Travel and Expenses
* Processing of monthly Corporate Credit Card statements
* Manage the expense process system, ensuring that all expenditure (cash and Credit Card spend) is correctly supported and entered on the company’s bespoke expenses platform
* Liaise with staff to ensure Credit Card statements have been provided in a timely manner with all expenses accurately accounted for, following up where required
* Monthly reconciliation of relevant Balance Sheet nominals
* Review all flight bookings ensuring they have been correctly approved and allocated to the relevant trip
* Assist the Treasury function with currency management as and when required. Ensuring that all currency requested in available in a timely manner for the traveller. All currency movement (in and out) is reconciled with the amount shown in the Finance system.
Balance Sheet & Transaction System Reconciliations
* Processing of monthly management accounts based on detailed information provided by the relevant overseas office
* Reconciliation of all relevant Balance Sheet nominals – including bank reconciliations
Qwest Maritime Limited
* Processing of invoices and payments related with Qwest Maritime Limited. Ensuring transactions are recorded in the Finance system with all relevant reconciliations prepared in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Skills
* GCSE’s in Maths and English at a minimum of grade 5 or equivalent
* Confident, enthusiastic with an eye for detail
* Good level of MS Excel
* The ability to communicate effectively with all financial and non-financial colleagues
* Be ambitious with a keen interest in accounting and finance, and be willing to undertake further training and development
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, whilst dealing with high volumes of data and information
