Job summary Our Breast Screening Administrator will provide high quality administrative and clerical support to the Breast Radiologists and Imaging Service as part of a job share. They will ensure effective and efficient use of imaging resources in line with cancer treatment targets and Standard Operating Procedures and monitor and effectively manage breast screening clinic capacity and book clinics ensuring maximisation of resources. They will provide a range of administrative and clerical duties in support of the efficient and effective running of the breast care screening service and to optimise the experience of the clients using the service. Main duties of the job To ensure compliance with the NHSBSP targets, reporting any likelyexceptions or breaches to Practice Manager or Programme Manager Be able to communicate sensitively and patiently when explaining assessment clinic attendance requirements to clients. Liaise with Practice Manager, Programme Manager and Lead Radiographer on list management in order to meet targets. To attend meetings and/or take minutes as and when required. Answer telephone calls and enquiries in an efficient manner ensuring an appropriate follow through and using initiative to deal with all enquires. Meet with or receive calls from patients and negotiate with them their screening, screening assessment recall and time according to the policy. To assist with completing outcomes on IHCS. To provide cover during annual leave and sickness of other members of staff as required within contracted hours. To accept appropriate delegated tasks as determined by the Practice Manager or Programme Manager. To be aware of and update knowledge of NHSBSP and Hospital Policies and Procedures. Checking the clients history Preparing the paperwork for the Radiologists Liaising with Radiology Call Centre to ensure High Risk MRIs are booked within timeframes.
