Freuds Group is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to a diverse and representative team. Whatever your race, religion, origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability – we want to hear from you.
The Team
This role sits within Freuds’ Social Team – a specialist division within the core business. Balancing natural creativity and an innate understanding of culture, with data-backed insights to ensure social strategy performs, the team is a full-service social media powerhouse. From crafting compelling strategies and channel plans to activating campaigns, producing content, showcasing visible leadership, and managing paid media with precision, the team of 15 specialists seamlessly integrates into a diverse array of accounts, both retained and project-based.
We work with iconic global brands like Danone, Mars and EY, as well as a host of consumer, corporate, government and even podcast clients (plus a few celebrities we’ll tell you about later…)
By plugging into PR-integrated accounts, the team brings social media best practice to life, elevating the agency's offerings through distinctive, disruptive social that drives impactful results for clients.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled and creative consumer Senior Social Media Manager who has extensive experience of creating content for, and managing, platforms such as TikTok and Instagram for large FMCG clients. Experience translating innovative thinking into corporate briefs and platforms such as LinkedIn, is a bonus.
We are looking for someone who has in-depth knowledge of the social and digital media landscape and how this complements the traditional PR media mix; a self-starter with varied client experience, who can provide strategic solutions to clients’ business challenges, whilst simultaneously overseeing the creative social output and striving to align social and cultural trends with client objectives.
The ideal candidate will be naturally curious, keeping on top of the ever-evolving nuances of social media behaviours and understanding how different social channels will suit different audiences and objectives. Understanding how data can inform decision-making is key, ensuring that learnings from both platform and social listening tools are fed into strategy, optimisations and reporting. A good understanding of paid media will prove valuable, as well as any hands-on experience in activating it.
Experience of end-to-end social and digital channel execution is preferred, enabling this role to integrate with the broader team: from audience analysis and content planning, through to briefing content creation, implementation, optimisation, community management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategise, own and deliver the content creation for social media plans across a breadth of clients to ensure they meet their objectives and KPIs – concepting, developing, and delivering against content calendars for both always-on and project campaigns.
* Continuously improve existing strategies and approaches using learnings over time. Aim to be one step ahead in terms of strategic ideas and approaches to help grow and improve their social media presence.
* Senior counsel on social media best practice within the integrated agency setting, with an ability to bring expertise to life in an engaging way, both written and verbally.
* Impeccable writing skills, with the ability to adopt a variety of clients’ tone of voice. Regularly write and present documents in a range of styles that demonstrate your attention to detail and skills in producing well-written documents.
* A strong team player, who thrives in mentoring the team and sharing industry inspiration, up-skilling and working closely with both junior and senior colleagues.
* Brief and work closely with the design team to ensure content is best-in-class, optimised for platforms, and meeting brand guidelines and client expectations.
* Liaise and update clients on a regular basis in an effective manner; confidently delivering updates, results, learnings, and recommendations.
* Maintain an understanding of the influencer and KOL (key opinion leader) landscape – keeping abreast of the latest digital media influencers and industry metrics relevant to your clients.
