Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Medicines Information pharmacist to join and lead our Medicines Advice team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. Our Medicines Information service provides advice on all aspects of medicines use, and aims to support the safe, clinically effective and efficient use of medicines. In addition, you will provide a clinical pharmacy service to a speciality as well as supporting directorate work and Drug and Therapeutics Committee submissions. Provisional interview date: Monday 10th February 2025 Main duties of the job Driving forward high quality and impactful Medicines Information for healthcare professional colleagues, patients and their families. Co-ordinating and managing the provision of the Medicines Advice/Information (MI) service, including the interpretation of highly complex clinical questions from all members of Trust staff and the provision of medicines advice based on this interpretation to national standards. Championing and promoting the GOSH Medicines Information service both within the Trust and externally Supporting and developing drug evaluations by undertaking evidence reviews for the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee (DTC) when required Participating in the development, review and maintenance of the Trust Drug Formulary in order to facilitate the safe, effective and cost effective use of medication within the Trust Leading on medicines related Patient Information Leaflets (PILs) on behalf of the department, including liaising with the Patient Advisory Liaison (PALs) team, management of the GOSH internet PILs site, and writing and reviewing medicines PILs.
