Job Description:
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about providing excellent support in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our Building & Housing Services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Invoice Processing: Manage and process invoices for Building & Housing Services, ensuring they are correctly authorized, batched for payment, and handle supplier queries.
2. Order Raising: Assist in raising orders with agreed suppliers and support the Business Support Co-ordinator in procuring materials following the Council’s procurement policy.
3. Supplier Network Management: Help maintain a network of suppliers for building services, ensuring best value.
4. Job Progression Facilitation: Process information from mobile working systems to facilitate job progression from initiation to completion.
5. Employee Records Maintenance: Maintain employee records, including timesheets and training information.
6. Data Management: Assist in managing statistical data for performance and benchmarking purposes.
7. Financial Handling: Support the Business Support Co-ordinator by ensuring timely counting and preparation of car parking monies.
8. Customer Support: Provide customer-facing support for building maintenance services and perform general office duties.
9. Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Council’s Financial Regulations and Policies.
10. Equal Opportunity: Implement the principles of the Council’s Equal Opportunity Policy.
11. Health and Safety: Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and Council policies.
12. Environmental Policy: Apply the principles of the Council's Environment Policy.
13. Additional Duties: Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Chief Officer.
14. Safeguarding: Report any safeguarding concerns promptly.
Requirements:
1. Valid and active NMC Registration.
2. 6 Months proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
3. Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Empathetic and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
8. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
