Position: Field Care Supervisor Responsible to: Registered Manager Hours: 37 – Variable hours - You may be required to work additional hours as required by the needs of the business. Hours of work: Between the hours of 07:00 – 22:00 - 0.5hr lunch break per day (unpaid) On call duties: 1 week of the month - This is part of the role and is paid within your hourly rate. If any addition on call is completed, this will be paid as extra. Weekdays : 5pm – 10.30pm Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday 7am – 9am Friday Weekends : 5pm Friday – 9am Monday Rate of Pay: £14.50 per hour For this role you must hold your NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care Job Summary: The Field Care Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our clients in the community. This hybrid role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively split their time between fieldwork and office duties. The Field Supervisor will oversee the performance and well-being of our care staff, ensure compliance with care plans, and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders. Requirements Field-Based Duties (50%) and Office-Based Duties (50%). The percentage split will vary to suit the needs of the business Provide any care cover required in accordance with your weekly rota. Conduct regular visits to client homes to monitor the quality of care being provided. Perform spot checks, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with care plans, company policies, and regulatory standards. Provide on-the-spot support and guidance to care staff, addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Ensure that all care documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of clients' needs. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families, acting as a point of contact for any queries or concerns. Facilitate staff training and development in the field, ensuring that care workers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. Provide emergency care cover when required. Provide out of hours emergency cover during the week and on alternate weekends. Coordinate and schedule care staff assignments, ensuring optimal coverage and continuity of care. Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs for care workers. Compile reports on care quality, staff performance, and client satisfaction, presenting findings to senior management. Work collaboratively with the operations and care coordination team to ensure seamless service delivery. Attend regular meetings, both internal and external, representing the company in a professional manner. On call duties to include answering and dealing with any emergency calls outside of office hours. Make a record of each call and action taken. Mentoring new staff Undertake quality assessments.
