We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Account Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals.
Location: This position will be based from our London office on a full-time basis, with potential for hybrid working following a 3-month probation.
Salary: Based on skills, qualifications and experience.
Overview of Role: The Account Manager acts as the primary point of contact for all client-related needs, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finances of their assigned clients and oversees a staff of Bookkeepers.
Responsibilities
* Respond to client enquiries and requests in a timely manner, disseminating client information internally as appropriate.
* Liaise with the client’s manager, agent, tour manager and lawyers.
* Coordinate workflow of bookkeeping team.
* Review and distribute mail/email.
* Oversee daily client activity, including requests and timely follow up on all outstanding matters.
* Review contracts and ensure all income due is invoiced and collected on a timely basis.
* Review work of Bookkeepers (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, cash receipt and journal entry coding, general ledger, payroll, and financial statement review).
* Manage cash by reviewing bank balances and statements and approving transfers as needed.
* Check the preparation of management commission statements.
* Review VAT returns.
* Prepare financial projections and budgets.
* Review and/or prepare management accounts including budget actual analysis.
* Monitor credit card activity and credit score issues.
* Download credit card activity and order new credit cards.
* Monitor insurance renewals and claims.
* Set up new clients, including bank accounts.
* Assist with home and car purchases including mortgage applications.
* Manage clients' touring activities including:
o Review budgets with tour managers.
o Set up invoice approval system.
o Work with the tour department to mitigate withholding taxes.
o Provide information for US CWA agreements on a timely basis.
o Review and follow up on box office settlements.
o Prepare tour accounts including budget vs actual analysis.
o Liaise with tour manager and artist manager.
* Finalize ledgers at year end and liaise with our Internal Accounts department to ensure timely preparation of statutory accounts.
* Provide information regarding taxable income arising in the tax year to the Tax department for them to prepare the clients' personal and corporate tax returns.
* Liaise with our royalty departments regarding complex commission and royalty payable statements.
* Other projects and duties, as assigned.
* Any other duties as required by your line manager or senior team which are proportionate to your level and remit.
A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
* Significant experience in a similar role in business management.
* A Levels and qualification in ACCA Part/Fully qualified or equivalent.
